Democrats: Party of the Little Guy

And other lies.

This is just another reason why Democrats who claim to be for the little guy are so used to lying that they ignore the monsters they support.

Neal A. Maxwell - "The great physician, Dr. Henry G. Armitage, Jr., states, 'Not without comment shall it come to pass that a state (so fretful for the preservation of the praying mantis but holding an unborn baby to be of no account) can send a spark of immortality swinging out into limbo and conspire with citizen and physician to turn a fragile, living object of simple innocence and complex wonder into a pathetic pulp and consign it by rude and peremptory passage to the furnace or sewer — unknown, unwanted [and] undefended.' He further questions how a woman as 'the fertile adornment of our race can be deluded into the notion that she is a mere poetress of unwanted luggage or be by blandishment seduced into believing that she has dominion over life not her own.' He says, 'An abortion is never commonplace, for the world holds no heartbreak like the death of innocence.'"

Nancy Pelosi's 757: You Foot the over $6mil. Annual Bill

The Jet is a USAF Boeing 757.

*And they STILL want to talk about Sarah's clothing??

Republicans! Are you out there?

*MADAME PELOSI*

Madame Pelosi wasn't happy with the small private jet that comes with the Speaker's job...no, Madame Pelosi was aggravated that this little jet had to stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat 200 seat jet that could get her back to California  without stopping!

Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with glee as Joe informed everyone what Nancy's Big Fat Jet costs us, the hard working American Taxpayers, for the thousands of gallons of fuel every week.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California , cost to the taxpayers of about $60,000  one way!

As Joe put it, 'Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday Night.' Cost to us is another $60,000.  Folks, that is

$480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to the taxpayers of $5,760,000.  No wonder she complains about the cost of this war...it might cramp her style and she is styling, on my back and yours.

I think of the military families in this country doing without and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of this country, keeps fueling that jet while doing nothing.

Madame Pelosi wants you and me to conserve our carbon footprint. She wants us to buy smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and pump up our tires.

These people are nuts.

If you think this is outrageous, forward it to all those on your email list!

Keep in mind the figures above do
NOT  include cost of plane or crew, just fuel!

One wonders what her total package cost us? And she wants to tax OUR Ira's & 401K's.....

YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS IN ANY NEWSPAPERS IN THE COUNTRY! THEY HAVE NO GUTS - THEY WOULD RATHER SEE PEOPLE STARVING THAN REPORT ON THE MONSTER THAT IS NANCY PELOSI!

Bloated GW Messiah Typifies Liberal Hypocracy

Wes Pruden pinpoints in his must read article, The hot one from the Democrats

"When this far-reaching legislation was debated in the House Energy Committee, the Republicans offered amendments to suspend the legislation if the price of gasoline exceeds $5 a gallon, if the price of electricity rises more than 10 percent over 2009, and if the unemployment rate, now hovering close to 9 percent, exceeds 15 percent. The Democrats, who know very well the devastation this "biggest tax increase in history" is likely to wreak on American families, nevertheless defeated all three amendments."

This idiotic solution to a nonexistent problem will send the poorest of US citizens spiraling deeper into poverty.

Cap n Trade to hit Obama voters the hardest

The Economic Impact of the Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade Bill
by Ben Lieberman
Testimony
Testimony before the
Senate Republican Conference

June 22, 2009

It is clear that cap-and-trade is very expensive and amounts to nothing more than an energy tax in disguise. After all, when you sweep aside all the complexities of how cap and trade operates–and make no mistake, this is the most convoluted attempt at economic central planning this nation has ever attempted–the bottom line is that cap and trade works by raising the cost of energy high enough so that individuals and businesses are forced to use less of it. Inflicting economic pain is what this is all about. That is how the ever-tightening emissions targets will be met.
(snip)
Beyond the cost impact on individuals and households, Waxman-Markey also affects employment, and especially employment in the manufacturing sector. We estimate job losses averaging 1,145,000 at any given time from 2012-2035. And note that those are net job losses, after the much-hyped green jobs are taken into account. Some of the lost jobs will be destroyed entirely, while others will be outsourced to nations like China and India that have repeatedly stated that they’ll never hamper their own economic growth with energy-cost boosting global warming measures like Waxman-Markey.
(snip)
Overall, Waxman-Markey reduces gross domestic product by an average of $393 billion annually between 2012 and 2035, and cumulatively by $9.4 trillion. In other words, the nation will be $9.4 trillion poorer with Waxman-Markey than without it.
(snip)
It should also be noted that the costs are not distributed evenly. Low-income households spend a disproportionate share of their incomes on energy, and thus would be hit harder than average by Waxman-Markey.

In conclusion, it’s not surprising that support for Waxman-Markey is heaviest in those parts of the country, the urban centers in the West Coast and Northeast, that are least harmed by it. Even there, the economic damage would be bad enough, but the citizens in the rest of the country and their representatives should really be asking many tough questions about the economic impact of cap and trade. Thank you.

ABC Shilling for Gun Control

The mendacity of ABC is already well known.
Their 20/20 piece on guns takes them to a lower level yet.
In John Lott's examination of ABC's shameful hit piece on our 2nd Ammendment rights he compares it to their onetime low of faking the exploding gas tanks.
Once again, they are willing to make outrageous statements like, "If you are wondering where are all the studies about the effectiveness of gunes used by ordinary Americans for self-defense, well keep searching, we could not find one reliable study and the ones we found were contradictory."
Mr. Lott cites 26.
The word obdurate can apply to these who will always remain indestructibly ignorant of the truth.
One thing I found interesting was that the Columbine shooting spree coincided with the day that the "state legislature had scheduled final passage of the concealed handgun law."
He also dispels the myth about gunshows being a haven for illegal gun purchases.
All in all, I find ABC despicable in their abandonment of even rudimentary journalistic ethics.

What is Obama thinking?

Prop 8 Upheld: All Win

Prop 8 upheld in the California Supreme Court by a 6-1 vote.
From 160 (PDF version)

Although this initiative process was thereby instituted as a remedy for government corruption, and to free legislation from the influence of powerful special interests and the Legislature's own self-serving inertia, there is no indication that this process was intended to prevent courts from performing their traditional constitutional function of protecting persecuted minorities from the majority will. There is a fundamental difference between preventing politically powerful minorities from unduly influencing legislative and judicial decisions on the one hand, and preventing courts from protecting the rights of disfavored minorities unable to obtain equal rights through the usual majoritarian processes on the other.

This is a victory for the people who are tired of being bullied by small, obnoxious, special interest groups. Forget the homosexual ideology, the same law-bending practices are evident in topics like illegal aliens, late term abortion, and hate crimes.
Most Americans just want a society that all play by the same rules. That lock up criminals that don't. That reward and promote good decision making.

Blaming Bush

It's a poor president who blames his predecessor, and criticizes his successor (hopefully in 3 1/2 years). Clinton did it. Obama is off to a roaring start.

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Tony Blair a set of inexpensive and useless (to Tony Blair's UK video formatting) DVDs, when Tony Blair had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited  Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive?

Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 10 weeks -- so you'll have three years and nine-and-a-half months to come up with an answer.

Dead People Get Stimulus
Checks

Published : Thursday, 14 May 2009, 5:28 PM EDT

MYFOXNY.COM - This week, thousands of people are getting stimulus checks in the mail. The problem is that a lot of them are dead. A Long Island woman was shocked when she checked the mail and received a letter from the U.S. Treasury -- but it wasn't for her.

When asked about giving the government that money back, she wasn't happy about that either: "They're just pissing it away".

Becoming Illegal

(Actual letter from an Iowa resident and sent to his senator)

The Honorable Tom Harkin
731 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington , DC 20510

Dear Senator Harkin,

As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.

Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as 'in-state' tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

Your Loyal Constituent, ( hoping to reach 'illegal alien' status rather than just a bonafide citizen of the USA )

Specter and magical thinking

Specter first thinks he'll be re-elected as a Democrat. Second, he thinks that Democrats will keep *hic* their promises.

Specter plays down loss of committee seniority

Specter shows amazing confidence that his backstabbing he handed the Democrats won't be repaid, explains how his betrayal of fellow RHINO's was well planned as Sen. Reid (whose well earned Rush-nickname is Dingy):

"my seniority will be maintained under the arrangement I worked out with" Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., before switching.

Before switching... Did you get that in writing? Why don't you call some of his fiends [sic] in Vegas and find out why you might consider that.

"I think everyone should just kind of relax and understand he's a Democrat," Reid said. "We're doing our best to try to make him happy as a Democrat. I think he is."
